Job summary

The Virginia Department of Corrections is seeking an Intelligence Specialist (Supervisory} to provide direct supervision and oversight of Agency Management Analysts Sr. (AMAs) responsible for gathering, evaluating, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence and investigative information.

This role ensures analytic products meet Department standards for accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism. It also acts as a supervisory resource, capable of covering duties during absences, while supporting

Qualifications

• Experience in criminal intelligence, investigations, threat analysis, or related fields.
• Supervisory experience directing operational staff.
• Ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and produce professional intelligence products.
• Proficiency with case management systems, analytical tools, and law enforcement databases.
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and oversight of AMAs responsible for gathering, evaluating, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence.
• Assure analytic products meet standards for accuracy, timeliness, and presentation.
• Maintain proficiency to perform intelligence analysis and provide hands-on support when needed.
• Serve as supervisory resource during absences and elevated demand.
• Oversee intelligence gathering, data integrity, and production of actionable intel for facilities and partners.
