Job summary

The State of Delaware is seeking a Criminal Intelligence Analyst to conduct research, correlation, analysis, and distribution of criminal intelligence related to activities within correctional facilities and associated populations.

Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources, producing visual aids and reports, mapping crime activity, and coordinating with state and federal agencies.

Qualifications

• Six months' experience researching and correlating information from multiple sources to identify patterns.
• Six months' experience interpreting laws, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Six months' experience using automated information systems to manage data.
• Six months' experience using spreadsheet software to create visual aids.
• Knowledge of inferential statistics.
• Knowledge of federal regulations for criminal intelligence dissemination.

Responsibilities

• Research criminals and suspected criminals via computer systems or agency contacts.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and compile criminal intelligence from varied sources.
• Perform spreadsheet analysis of statistics and associations.
• Conduct crime analysis and crime mapping.
• Perform telephone toll analysis to map activity and groups.
• Conduct link analysis to uncover connections between individuals and groups.
• Identify suspicious or potential criminal activity or associations.
• Gather intelligence during critical incidents and incidents/hostages.
• Prepare charts, graphs, tables, maps, and other visual aids.
• Create and maintain databases for tracking and sharing information.
• Attend interagency meetings to share information.
