Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Corrections is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to provide investigative support to WDOC and outside agencies, collecting, analyzing, and reporting criminal intelligence per applicable statutes.

You will conduct background checks, develop threat assessments, manage confidential informants, and prepare charts and exhibits. A Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and up to 6 years of intelligence experience are preferred; OSINT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (typically in Criminal Justice).
• 0-3 year(s) of progressive work experience (typically in Intelligence Analysis).
• Education & Experience substitution: 4-6 year(s) of progressive work experience (in Intelligence Analysis).

Responsibilities

• Manage the database per Title 28 US Code Part 23 and update information.
• Use case management systems to record and organize threat information.
• Conduct background research on criminals under investigation.
• Analyze confidential intelligence and investigative information.
• Process requests from law enforcement agencies for file checks and inquiries.
• Write reports to permanently record information involving criminal activity.
• Prepare charts, exhibits, and data analyses for court proceedings.
