Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a Medical Support Staff Supervisor, Support Service Supervisor 3 (Ontario) to lead non-medical operations within Snake River Correctional Institute in Ontario, OR. You will manage daily non-medical activities, recruit and supervise staff, and collaborate across the Health Services Division to deliver safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Three years of office management experience; or three years of supervisory experience over office, technical, or support staff, including responsibility for a) hiring; b) training; c) assigning and reviewing work; d) doing performance appraisals; and e) handling disciplinary action.
• One year of experience must include supervision over multiple support functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee non-medical operations of the Medical Services program.
• Recruit, interview, and orient non-medical personnel with the Medical Services Manager.
• Supervise non-medical staff, non-medical contract providers, and agency personnel to ensure proper execution of tasks.
• Monitor program performance and implement quality improvements.
• Attend management and executive meetings and represent Health Services standards when needed.
