Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Health Services Administrator to oversee facility health service activities, ensure compliance with healthcare policies, manage the department budget, and improve operational efficiency.

You will liaise with facility staff, contracting agencies, and compliance bodies, ensure licensure, accreditation, and provide reports. A nursing/healthcare background with leadership in a correctional setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration.
• Minimum five years in healthcare administration or management with supervisory duties.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• If holding a clinical license, must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the facility’s state.
• Experience in correctional or detention settings preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to document clearly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility health services operations and staff.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, contracts, goals, and objectives.
• Manage the health services department budget and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with facility staff, contracting agencies, and compliance bodies.
• Ensure licensure and accreditation (NCCHC/ ACA/ TJC) as required.
• Prepare operational reports and manage outside vendors as needed.
