The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Healthcare Administrator to lead health services operations at our Newark facility. You will manage the health services department, align with company policies, and supervise clinical staff and contracts to ensure high-quality care for detainees.

You will oversee budgeting, staffing, and compliance, coordinating with internal teams to meet healthcare goals. Strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of work experience in healthcare administration or healthcare management in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to disseminate instructions clearly.
• Ability to work with computers and necessary software.
• Experience in healthcare planning, budgeting, and meeting contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the healthcare facility.
• Ensure the healthcare needs of the facility are met per policies and goals.
• Coordinate work of colleagues and contract providers (hiring, evaluating, training, promoting, terminating).
• Ensure adequate staffing and licensure of all personnel to meet detainee/inmate healthcare needs.
• Monitor operational issues (overtime, forms, auditing medical files, records requests, treatments).
• Determine and track the health services unit's budget and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Attend educational seminars occasionally.
