Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Health Services Administrator to oversee and optimize the health services program within a facility.

You will manage clinical operations, ensure contract compliance, and coordinate with staff, external providers, and regulatory bodies to deliver quality care to detainees. Candidates should have a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and substantial supervisory healthcare experience, including in outpatient or correctional settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration is required.
• Five (5) years of work experience in healthcare administration or management in a supervisory capacity.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred. If clinical license is held, must have current RN license.
• Experience in correctional/detention setting preferred.
• Experience in outpatient setting preferred.
• Strong verbal and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages and evaluates all facility health service activities per policies and procedures.
• Implements contractually required healthcare services.
• Manages department budget and seeks to improve operational efficiency.
• Liaises between facility staff, contracting agencies, and compliance agencies on healthcare matters.
• Directs work of staff and contract providers, including hiring and performance management.
• Ensures staffing adequacy and licensure of healthcare personnel.
• Ensures compliance with pharmacy laws and safety requirements.
• Attends outside educational seminars as needed.
