Job summary

Summit, part of Elior North America, is seeking a Food Service Director at Isanti County Jail, MN. You will lead a team of food service workers, manage all aspects of the department, and ensure meals are served on time to inmates and staff.

This is an onsite, non-exempt hourly role with a strong emphasis on safety, sanitation, budgeting, and customer service within a corrections setting. You will hire and train staff and coordinate with district management to meet targets.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer satisfaction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budget for the department, including purchasing ingredients and meeting targets and forecasts.
• Coordinate with district manager or other departments on dining service aspects.
• Address customer service needs.
