This role emphasizes leadership, planning, and hands-on supervision of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and welding tasks. The schedule is 40 hours weekly, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with retirement benefits

Qualifications

• Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• CJIS background investigation/compliance required.
• Veterans' employment preferences under PA law may apply.

Responsabilités

• Oversee inmate work crews performing maintenance, repair, construction, and janitorial tasks
• Plan daily schedules, assign tasks, and inspect completed work assignments
• Teach proper operation and preventative maintenance of machinery and vehicles
• Perform or assist with semi-skilled and skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and welding
• Issue, track, and inventory tools and materials while conducting searches to ensure accountability
