Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant.
• Basic training completion in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and CJIS compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, generators, water systems, and other utility equipment under normal and emergency conditions
• Complete routine and non-routine maintenance, perform repairs, and keep records of equipment performance
• Test boiler water chemistry, maintain logs, and track supplies for water treatment and testing
• Direct inmate workers, maintain safety, enforce procedures, and monitor movement and work areas
• Record daily readings, complete required paperwork, and report concerns to supervisors
