Qualifications

• Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• You must pass a background investigation and meet CJIS compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, generators, water systems, and other utility equipment under normal and emergency conditions
• Maintenance tasks: complete routine and non-routine maintenance, perform repairs, and keep accurate records of equipment performance
• Water testing: test boiler water chemistry, maintain logs, and track supplies for water treatment and testing
• Work crew oversight: direct inmate workers, maintain safety, enforce procedures, and monitor movement and work areas
• Documentation duties: record daily readings, complete required paperwork, and report concerns to supervisors
