Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Completion of California Penal Code 832 training within 90 days of appointment; certified by POST or BOARD CSTP/COC.
• Completion of STC certified corrections officer core course within one year of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility security and inmate welfare on assigned shift.
• Oversee arrest, booking, housing, and transfers of inmates with accurate recordkeeping.
• Escort inmates, visitors, and staff; conduct searches and rounds.
• Prepare and file incident reports; perform headcounts and security checks.
• Respond to inmate requests and maintain order and discipline.
