Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as Correctional Officer I with Amador County or equivalent.
• CA Penal Code §832 certificate required (Peace Officer).
• First Aid and CPR certificates required.
• Valid California driver’s license at time of appointment.
• Must pass Sheriff’s Department background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise incarcerated persons during roll calls and leisure time.
• Maintain facility security and order; enforce rules and policies.
• Conduct searches for contraband and perform cell checks.
• Manage inmate transportation and paperwork as needed.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records for inmates.
