Job summary

Valley State Prison in Chowchilla, CA is seeking a Correctional Case Records Analyst to prepare, maintain, and interpret criminal case records for persons committed to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Under supervision, the analyst applies state laws, court decisions, and policy to records functions and computes release and discharge dates; positions are permanent, full time with in-office duties.

Qualifications

• Passing the examination for the Correctional Case Records Analyst classification.
• Be a current state employee with lateral transfer eligibility or reinstatement eligibility.
• Able to meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, maintains, interprets, and manages criminal case records for persons committed to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
• Interprets and applies state laws, court decisions, and administration policies related to commitments to correctional institutions.
• Calculates incarcerated persons' release and discharge dates.
