State of Indiana is seeking a Correctional Training Officer to deliver specialized instruction at a Correctional Facility in Pendleton. You will work under supervision to review training, identify needs, and implement programs for operations, support, and program staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Workforce Engagement Division practices and procedures.
• Understanding of Adult Learning principles.
• Familiarity with correctional training issues, treatment programs, custody issues, ACA standards and policies.
• Ability to present and execute detailed lesson plans.
• Ability to complete Train the Trainer programs.

Responsibilities

• Train new and existing staff through individual and group sessions.
• Help develop curricula to meet performance objectives.
• Test and measure trainee performance against standards.
• Ensure training programs comply with established guidelines and policies.
• Maintain training records and prepare written reports.
