Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop a system to promote coordination of substance abuse treatment with facility programs.
• Assess inmates with identified substance abuse problems and plan interventions.
• Document assessments and recovery service plans in inmate records.
• Provide ongoing training for staff on substance abuse areas and related skills.
• Conduct substance abuse and tobacco cessation classes and group sessions.
• Promote awareness of substance abuse issues throughout the facility.
• Develop linkages with community resources for services.
• Model positive social skills and intervene when inappropriate behaviors observed.
