Job summary

DeCoach Recovery Centre in Fairfield, OH is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor (CDCA, LCDC, LICDC required) to join our professional team. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

You will work in a fast-paced behavioral health environment, delivering culturally competent care, maintaining documentation, and coordinating crisis interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold state licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with behavioral health concerns.
• Provide individual and group counseling using strengths-based, person-centered approaches.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and case managers to coordinate care.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations and clinical supervision.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and implement evidence-based practices.
• Provide culturally competent and inclusive care for clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with standards and policies.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate with resources to ensure client safety.
