Job summary

WestCare Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate substance abuse programs for clients at Sheridan Correctional Center. You will assess clients, motivate treatment engagement, and develop comprehensive service plans in collaboration with clients and the facility, following IDOC guidelines.

You will lead daily treatment groups, support self-help activities, and maintain detailed records while upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold clinical certification as a CADC or meet licensure requirements within two years of employment.
• Must complete 40 hours of continuing education biennially if CADC licensed.
• Master's or bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each client using required assessment tools.
• Motivate participation in treatment using engagement techniques.
• Develop comprehensive service plans with client input within IDOC limitations.
• Provide daily treatment and curriculum-based education groups on TC concepts and related topics.
• Assist clients in forming self-help groups like AA/NA.
• Maintain confidential client files and documentation.
