The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) is actively recruiting experienced professionals to serve as Correctional Sergeants across facilities in the state. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range and extensive benefits.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, two years of correctional work in security at the level of Correctional Officer or higher, and APOSCT certification to obtain permanent status. Starting salary is based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of correctional work in security of inmates at the level of Correctional Officer or higher.
• Incumbents must be certified by the Alabama Peace Officer's Standards and Training Commission to obtain permanent status in this classification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small unit of correctional officers or perform highly responsible duties in a specialized area of Corrections.
