Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required for employment.
Applicant must be 19 years of age or older.
Provide BAT/ACT WorkKeys certification or proof of Associate's degree or higher during hiring.

Responsibilities

Stands watch in halls or towers to control inmate movement.
Supervises groups of inmates on work details and conducts counts.
Inspects quarters for safety and contraband; searches inmates/visitors when needed.
Maintains alertness, reports disturbances, and inspects security equipment.
Explains rules and services to inmates; assists with personal and educational opportunities.
Observes inmate behavior and completes evaluation reports.
