Adult Correction seeks a supervisor for Dan River Prison Work Farm in Caswell, NC. The role reports to a Correctional Lieutenant I and oversees Correctional Officers, planning work schedules and post assignments to ensure custody and welfare of offenders in a state facility.
Required are a high school education with two years as a correctional officer and eligibility for NC certification; a background check and drug screening are mandatory, with travel as needed within the facility network.

This position is located at Dan River Prison Work Farm, Caswell, NC. Dan River Prison Work Farm is a minimum-custody prison housing male offenders. The largest inmate population consist of minimum custody offenders. This position reports to the Correctional Lieutenant I, this position will supervise Correctional Officers, assist with planning work schedules and assigning post and is responsible for the officer’s activities relation to the custody and welfare of offenders in a state correctional facility.
Salary Range: $37,377.00 - $65,408.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Documented knowledge of Prison Policies and Procedures, and/or Facility Operations.

The Division of Institutions manages the daily operations of all state-operated prison facilities across North Carolina. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of experience as a correctional officer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
