Qualifications

• Supervise Correctional Officer II staff and oversee activities to maintain custody and welfare.
• Coordinate work schedules to ensure shift coverage and policy compliance.
• Possess knowledge of prison policies, procedures, and facility operations (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assign post and evaluate staff performance to maintain custody and welfare.
• Coordinate shift schedules to ensure coverage.
• Occasionally act as Officer-in-Charge and manage the facility.
• Ensure staff training and adherence to procedures.
• Maintain facility security through inspections and safety checks.
• Communicate instructions during drills and emergencies.
• Respond to emergencies such as distress codes and escapes.
• Conduct or supervise searches for contraband.
• Investigate security issues and prepare reports.
