Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a CORRECTIONAL SENTENCE TECHNICIAN-F/C for the Dade Correctional Institution. The role focuses on accurately assessing and classifying inmates based on sentences, risks, and needs to ensure proper housing, programs, and safety.

The position is on-site, not telework, and requires coordination with multiple state offices to correct sentence data and improve procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check Level 2 required.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. since the State uses E-Verify.

Responsabilités

• Review commitment documents to verify sentencing rules and update release dates.
• Collaborate with Public Defenders, State Attorneys, Sheriffs, and Court Clerks to correct mistakes in commitment documents.
• Search the OBIS system to ensure correct sentence details and inmate identification.
• Evaluate new commitments to assign inmate numbers and recalculate release dates as needed.
• Document repeat offenses and update policies related to sentence structures with Central Office.
