Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) seeks a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse to join our team at Putnam County Jail. You will deliver comprehensive healthcare to incarcerated patients, administer medications, and coordinate with medical providers to ensure timely care.

Responsibilities include medical intakes, chronic care management, and responding to emergencies. Candidates must hold a current LPN or RN license and CPR certification, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift

Qualifications

LPN or RN licensure required.
Valid CPR certification required.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to push, pull, reach and bend frequently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to inmates.
Administer medications.
Perform medical intakes and assess fitness for incarceration.
Respond to sick calls and coordinate with medical providers; change dressings as needed.
Perform 14-day physicals and manage chronic care.
Provide patient education on health concerns.
Respond to medical emergencies and lead in life-saving measures when required.
Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and assist Medically Trained Personnel.
Comply with state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
