Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) is seeking aRegistered Nurse to provide comprehensive medical care within Jackson County Jail. The role involves assessing patients, administering medications, and coordinating with the medical team to ensure timely sick-call responses.

You will manage chronic conditions, perform 14-day physicals, and respond to emergencies in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate holds an RN license and CPR certification, can stand for long periods, and lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure required.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to incarcerated patients.
• Administer medications and perform medical intakes.
• Respond to sick call requests and coordinate with medical providers.
• Change dressings as required and perform 14-day physicals.
• Manage chronic care and provide patient education on health concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving measures when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacology, formulary drugs, and medication costs.
• Provide direction to Medically Trained Personnel and comply with laws and regulations.
