Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to inmate patients across intake, health care units, and emergency settings. You will collaborate with interprofessional teams, administer medications, monitor responses, and educate patients for safe self-care and discharge planning.

The role emphasizes infection control, HIPAA/PREA compliance, and maintaining meticulous documentation while working within a correctional health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an unrestricted RN license.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to pass health and security screenings.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays; on-call may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmate patients according to nursing protocols.
• Perform assessments in intake, health care units, emergencies, chronic care clinics, and medical units.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, appropriate, and continuous care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
• Monitor and report reactions to treatments, medications, and changes in status.
• Provide patient education, including medication guidance, self-care instructions, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation in appropriate formats.
• Promote a therapeutic and professional environment for inmates.
• Adhere to infection control policies, medication administration standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing staff development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on facility needs.
