Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct care to inmate patients across intake, health care units, and emergency settings. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, appropriate care and maintain complete documentation.

The role requires strong critical thinking, independent decision making, and adherence to infection control and regulatory standards, with potential night/weekend shifts and security screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to function independently and in a team.
• Maintain health and security screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmates according to protocols.
• Perform assessments in intake, units, and emergency settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for timely care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and report reactions and status changes.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Uphold infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing staff development and quality initiatives.
