Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to inmate patients within a correctional facility, following the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.

The RN will perform assessments across intake and health care units, administer medications, document accurately, and promote a safe, professional environment while adhering to infection control and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment; maintain copy on file.
• Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; correctional healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmate patients according to nursing protocols.
• Perform assessments in various correctional settings, including intake, health care units, emergency situations, chronic care clinics, and medical units.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, appropriate, and continuous care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
• Monitor and report reactions to treatments, medications, and changes in physical or emotional status.
• Provide patient education, including medication guidance, self-care instructions, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation in appropriate formats.
• Promote a therapeutic and professional environment for inmates.
• Adhere to infection control policies, medication administration standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing staff development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on facility needs.
