Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Applicants must be 19 years of age or older.
• BAT certification or an Associate's degree or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Stands watch and controls movement of inmates.
• Supervises inmate groups on work details and counts.
• Inspects quarters for safety and contraband; conducts searches.
• Maintains alert, reports unusual conditions; checks security equipment.
• Completes reports on inmate behavior and incidents.
• Instructs inmates on rules, procedures, and available services.
• Observes inmate behavior and writes evaluation reports.
