Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Must provide BAT certification or an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Stands watch in halls or towers to control inmate movement.
• Supervises inmate groups on work details and instructs on duties.
• Inspects quarters for safety, searches for contraband, and maintains security equipment.
• Maintains alert, reports unusual conditions, and conducts counts.
• Completes reports on progress, behavior, and incidents.
• Drives transfer vehicle and maintains safety equipment.
• Explains rules and services to inmates; assists with personal development and job opportunities.
• Observes inmate behavior and submits evaluation reports.
• Instructs inmates in hygiene, discipline, and etiquette.
