Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; copy due during hiring.
• Applicants must be 19 years of age or older.
• BAT/ACT WorkKeys proof OR an Associate's degree or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Stands watch in halls or wall towers to control inmate movement.
• Supervises inmate groups on work details and checks inmates in/out.
• Inspects quarters for safety and contraband; searches inmates/visitors.
• Maintains alertness and reports unusual conditions or disturbances.
• Performs regular inmate counts and supervision checks.
• Completes reports on inmate behavior and incidents.
• Drives transfer vehicle and inspects safety equipment.
• Explains rules and services to inmates; assists with personal problems and education.
• Observes inmate behavior and submits evaluation reports.
• Instructs inmates in personal hygiene, discipline, and etiquette.
