Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening.
• Ability to communicate effectively with inmates and staff.
• Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Keep the facility safe and secure by conducting inmate head counts, wellness checks, cell inspections, and security rounds.
• Respond to emergencies and apply crisis-intervention techniques to de-escalate mental-health situations.
• Oversee intake and release processes, fingerprinting and photographing, property management, and secure documentation.
• Supervise recreation, meals, medication distribution, visitations, and inmate movement to maintain order.
• Coordinate with agencies, courts, and jail staff; conduct NCIC checks, manage warrants and protection orders.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure accountability across shifts.
• Support inmates in accessing programs and services while upholding safety and professionalism.
