Job summary

CorrHealth in Portales, NM seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide direct services to inmates, including intake, evaluation, treatment planning, crisis intervention and discharge planning. You will coordinate with medical and security staff to ensure safe, confidential, high-quality care.

Minimum: Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or related field; active licensure (LCPC, LPCC, LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LAC, LSW).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work or related field
• Active licensure in LCPC/LPCC/LPC/LCSW/LMSW/LMHC/LMFT/LAC/LSW or equivalent
• Correctional mental health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts intakes, evaluations, and assessments for inmates requesting mental health services
• Coordinates with MD, prescriber, psychiatrist and healthcare staff for patient care
• Provides crisis intervention and suicide risk management
• Provides clinical supervision and treatment planning for inmates on caseload
• Documents services accurately and maintains legible notes
• Participates in treatment planning discussions and referrals when needed
