Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a licensed mental health professional to deliver comprehensive mental health services to inmates within a correctional facility. You will conduct intakes, assessments, and ongoing care planning in collaboration with medical and security staff.

Qualifications

• Master's level education in a related field.
• Required licensure includes LCPC/LPCC/LPC/LCSW/LMSW/LMHC/LMFT/LAC/LSW.
• Correctional mental health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes, evaluations and assessments for inmates referred by staff.
• Identify symptoms and treatment needs; refer to nursing or psychiatry as needed.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely evaluation and care.
• Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention within the facility.
• Develop treatment plans and provide supervision for inmates on caseload.
• Document services accurately and maintain HIPAA-compliant notes.
• Offer linkage to outside facilities and discharge planning when appropriate.
