131 DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician to provide professional mental health services within the facility. The role includes screenings, crisis intervention, counseling, and coordination with medical and mental health staff to ensure continuous care for inmates.

Responsibilities also cover aftercare planning and community referrals, along with participation in training and interdisciplinary meetings to enhance service quality and inmate well-being.

Formación

• Must be a newly licensed or license-eligible behavioral health professional.
• Correctional setting experience preferred.
• Ability to perform assessments and provide counseling and crisis intervention.

Responsabilidades

• Perform initial and ongoing mental health screenings and evaluations for inmates.
• Provide crisis, suicide and harm-reduction interventions.
• Deliver individual and group counseling and evidence-based therapies.
• Coordinate with medical and mental health teams for continuity of care.
• Develop aftercare plans and community referrals for inmates upon discharge.
• Participate in training and interdisciplinary facility teams.
