Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide comprehensive care to inmates in a correctional setting. You will perform intakes and ongoing assessments to tailor treatments and improve outcomes.

You will collaborate with medical staff, psychiatrists, and security personnel; apply non-pharmacologic therapies; manage crises; document encounters accurately; and participate in treatment planning and CQI activities.

Qualifications

• Master's level education required in a related field (Clinical Psych, Counseling, or Social Work).
• Active licenses incl. LCPC/LPCC/LPC/LCSW/LMSW/LMHC/LMFT/LAC/LSW are required.
• Correctional mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts intakes, evaluations and/or assessments for inmates referred by security or healthcare staff.
• Identifies mental health symptoms and treatment needs; coordinates care with MD, prescriber, and psychiatrists.
• Provides crisis and suicide intervention, and manages treatment plans for inmates.
• Documents services accurately and ensures notes are accessible to staff; participates in treatment planning and QA studies.
• Monitors special inmate populations and provides staff training on mental health issues.
