Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional facility, train staff, and coordinate meal production in line with production plans. You’ll ensure sanitation and safety compliance, while adhering to all standards and client requirements.

Compensation starts at $16.00 per hour with benefits; background checks are required. The role involves lifting and standing, with potential scheduling based on location needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year in food prep or related work.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates in a correctional setting.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and log reviews.
• Supervise inmates in food prep and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, quality meal service and compliance with Aramark standards.
• Assist in meal preparation and serving.
• Distribute recipes and train staff on procedures.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and proper cooking methods.
• Ensure correct portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Record daily population counts and review with staff.
• Follow security policies; keep storage areas secured.
