Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker for Calumet County Corrections in Chilton, WI. You will supervise inmates in a kitchen, train staff, and ensure meals meet production plans while maintaining sanitation and personal safety.

This role involves coordinating work, maintaining logs, and ensuring adherence to security guidelines and HACCP policies. Comfort working in a correctional facility and ability to obtain food safety certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates in a correctional work environment.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and review logs as per Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Assist in meal preparation and serving.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Obtain daily population counts and review with staff.
• Follow security procedures; keep storage areas locked.
• Return kitchen tools and keys to secure areas.
• Determine work procedures, schedules and sanitation plans.
• Assist in inventory, receiving and storage of food and supplies; requisition orders.
• Participate in production and postproduction processes.
• Follow HACCP and food handling/storage standards.
