Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates at a prison kitchen, train staff, and ensure meals meet production plans and safety standards.

Starting pay is $16/hour. The role requires food prep experience, leadership, and adherence to security and sanitation procedures in a correctional setting. Benefits include health, 401k, and time off; work is on-site at a prison facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of food prep or related work experience.
• Ability to supervise and motivate inmates and team members.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and logs per Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food prep and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Assist in meal preparation and serving.
• Prints and distributes recipes.
• Train inmates on Aramark recipes and proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Record daily population counts and review with staff.
• Follow security policies; keep storage areas locked.
• Return and secure kitchen tools and equipment; manage keys.
• Plan work and sanitation schedules with cooks and staff.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, and storing food items; place orders as needed.
• Participate in 5 P’s: Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion, Postproduction.
• Follow HACCP and SOP for safe food handling.
