The role reports to a Food Service Director and requires on-site work within a jail setting. Ideal candidates are team players who adapt to changes quickly and prioritize safety and food quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen teams during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to scheduled plans and procedures.
• Use utensils and equipment to cook and portion food per recipes to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
• Other duties as needed by the facility.
