Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly, ensuring production plans are followed and sanitation standards are met.

You will train workers, coordinate tasks, and uphold safety and security regulations in a correctional facility setting. The role requires leadership, adherence to procedures, and the ability to manage portions and dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age.
• At least 1 year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional setting.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
• Must follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Adhere to production guidelines and review logs.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Train staff and inmates on recipes and proper cooking procedures.
• Direct inmates in the use of Aramark recipes and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodations for dietary needs.
• Maintain accurate daily population counts and coordinate with staff.
• Enforce security policies and keep storage areas secured.
• Schedule work and sanitation routines for cooks and inmates.
• Assist with inventory, receiving and storage of food items.
• Follow Aramark SOPs and HACCP guidelines.
