Arizona Department of Corrections is seeking a Workforce Program Specialist to supervise inmate work crews at the Arizona Correctional Industries sites and ensure safe, orderly operations.

The role involves coordinating with operations managers, reviewing performance, and facilitating training and credential attainment for participants. CDL with passenger endorsement may be preferred for transport duties; background check and drug test are required.

Formación

• Two (2) years of experience as a Correctional Officer, or professional experience in correctional services or the criminal justice field.
• Ability to lift/carry approximately 20 lbs and push/pull 20 lbs.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and agency laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to the assignment.
• Knowledge of inmate management and supervision and problem-solving techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises workforce participants and community-based work crews at ACI work sites.
• Maintains safety and security of participants and work crews through site, vehicle, pat, and strip searches.
• Conducts continuous observations and accountability headcounts.
• Oversees production activities and workforce conduct in manufacturing centers.
• Coordinates with Regional Operations and Workforce Development Managers to align workforce efforts with production schedules and operational needs.
• Reviews work output, provides coaching, and administers performance evaluations and discipline.
