Job summary

Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) seeks a Wood Production Shop Supervisor to lead the Wood Shop operations for Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI) at the Florence facility. You will supervise daily production, ensure product quality, and enforce security and safety standards while guiding inmate workers and staff.

This role emphasizes training, scheduling, vendor coordination, and adherence to state policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising wood production facilities and staff.
• Ability to train and mentor inmate workers and staff.
• Strong knowledge of safety, security, and quality control practices in a wood shop.
• Experience scheduling, coordinating with vendors, and enforcing production timelines.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements a structured vocational training curriculum in woodworking.
• Provides hands-on instruction in safe use of woodworking tools and production techniques.
• Supervises and trains staff and inmates, conducts evaluations and provides feedback.
• Monitors material usage and production efficiency to ensure quality and timelines.
• Coordinates with facility staff and external partners to improve training outcomes.
