Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide on-site nursing care within a correctional facility in Illinois. The role emphasizes accurate assessment, timely intervention, and adherence to HIPAA and infection-control protocols.

You will administer medications, monitor patient conditions, document thoroughly, and collaborate with practitioners to ensure high-quality care while maintaining safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner.
• Record vital signs, peak flows, glucose checks, weight and other data on-site as appropriate.
• Provide patient education on facility policies and discharge planning.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control precautions.
• Collaborate and coordinate multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment as directed by the practitioner.
• Notify supervisor of medical or security incidents.
• May be directed to cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities.
