Job summary

Quality Correctional Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift in Grant County. The LPN will provide nursing services in a correctional setting under physician direction, perform patient intakes, med orders, sick calls, medication administration, and chronic care support.

The role requires an active LPN license, CPR, and at least one year of clinical experience, with correctional health care experience preferred. Competitive benefits and shift differential apply.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School.
• Current CPR.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN.
• One year of experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond and intervene to all emergency situations.
• Conduct patient intake paperwork.
• Verify and obtain orders for patient medication.
• Conduct Sick Call clinic.
• Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy.
• Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
• Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs.
• Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit.
• Monitor for, report and document changes in patient\'s condition.
• Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions.
• Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
• Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines.
