Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Food Service Supervisor II (S) at Warren Correctional Institution. Reporting to the Correctional Food Service Manager, you will supervise Correctional Food Service Officers and oversee large-scale food production for inmates, including dietary accommodations.

This full-time, 40-hour per week role requires strong sanitation, menu planning, inventory control, and staff oversight.

Qualifications

• Candidates must meet minimum education and experience as stated in the vacancy.
• Experience in sanitation and large-scale food service production preferred.
• Supervisory experience with employees or offender workers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Correctional Food Service Officers.
• Oversee large-scale food production.
• Supervise preparation and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Plan, direct, and supervise daily meal preparation and service.
• Maintain accurate and timely record keeping.
• Utilize computerized food and nutrition systems to prepare meals and ensure sanitation compliance.
