Job summary

Ashland University seeks a Site Coordinator at Noble Correctional Institution (OH) to oversee daily operations, recruit and orient incarcerated students, and support their participation in AU correctional education programs. The Site Coordinator acts as the liaison between facility staff, AU, and the DOC, ensuring smooth access to courses and resources.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Ability to use Learning Management System Software and productivity software such as MS Office.
• General understanding of academic environment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOC and AU background check.
• Be physically present at the facility for 80% of the work week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at the correctional site and collaborate with the DOC.
• Liaise between facility staff, students, and Ashland University.
• Identify, screen and recruit students for AU programs.
• Assist students with AU application paperwork and course access.
• Assist with issues related to student access and communications.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid on FAFSA completion and aid counseling.
• Support proctoring, recording, and uploading tests and assignments.
• Provide AU orientation and explain correctional education processes.
• Manage inventory of end-user devices, textbooks, and supplies.
• Distribute and collect course evaluations and assessments.
• Organize student activities and events.
• Distribute AU library resources in compliance with DOC rules.
