Ashland University Correctional Education seeks a Site Coordinator to oversee daily operations at South Central Correctional Center in Missouri, representing AU in collaboration with the DOC. You will liaise between facility staff, students, and AU, arrange orientation, and ensure access to courses.

Responsibilities include assisting with AU applications, FAFSA, proctoring, distributing materials, collecting feedback, maintaining FERPA privacy, and reporting inventory.

• Ability to use Learning Management System Software and MS Office.
• Basic computer skills with ability to troubleshoot issues.
• General understanding of academic environment.
• Ability to identify problems, suggest possible solutions and assist in resolution.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, communicate, and prioritize work through to completion with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group including AU faculty, incarcerated students, and correctional facility staff.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOC and AU background check.
• Ability to assist at other correctional facilities, as needed.
• Be physically present at the facility for 80% of the work week.
• Authorized to work in the United States; AU will not sponsor visa.

• Oversee daily operations at correctional facilities and represent AU with DOC.
• Act as liaison between facility staff, students, and AU.
• Identify, screen and recruit students per AU and DOC criteria.
• Assist students with AU applications and ensure course access and progress.
• Support students with access issues and communications related to end-user devices.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid to assist FAFSA and aid documentation.
• Collaborate with Academic Services for proctoring, tests, and assignments; submit on due dates.
• Provide AU orientation and correctional education processes before the semester.
• Manage inventory of end-user devices and textbooks; provide reports.
• Distribute and collect course evaluations and assessments.
• Organize student activities and disseminate library materials as required.
• Identify students for pre-release exit interviews and promote re-entry program.
• Maintain FERPA privacy and complete weekly student engagement reviews.
• Ensure compliance with AU and DOC policies.
