Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILIATION & REENTRY in Buckeye, AZ seeks a Correctional Education Program Supervisor to lead education and library services at ASPC Lewis complex. You will supervise teachers and library staff, manage daily operations, and ensure contract and security compliance.

Working with the Regional Education Director, you will deliver high-quality educational programs supporting rehabilitation and successful reentry, mentoring staff and coordinating program delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Must possess a current Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certificate in Elementary, Secondary or Special Education.
• Current Arizona Department of Public Safety Class I Fingerprint Card.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License and ability to drive on state business.
• TB test at orientation and annually thereafter.
• Employment is contingent on background investigation and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises teachers, librarians, and education staff for the complex.
• Interviews and participates in the hiring process.
• Evaluates performance and conducts classroom audits.
• Writes reports, prepares work schedules, and reviews work products.
• Administers performance appraisals and discipline; mentors staff.
• Oversees education and library services and budgets.
• Collaborates with the Regional Education Director to ensure services are provided.
• Monitors attendance and billing for contracted services.
• Ensures compliance with contract stipulations and ADCRR policies.
