NaphCare is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team at the Pueblo County Detention Center in Pueblo, Colorado. This PRN role supports dentists and correctional staff to provide compassionate dental care to inmates in a secure facility.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one- or two-year dental assistant program at a vocational school or community college.
• Be able to obtain CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Pass facility background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist during treatments.
• Maintain patient dental records and protect patient confidentiality.
• Sterilize and disinfect equipment and tools; ensure dental suite is clean and well-stocked.
• Take and develop x-rays and assist with dental laboratory tasks.
• Explain procedures and oral hygiene practices to patients.
